What is The Sunshine Society?
We are a monthly subscription box service for women who love all things tropical. Each month, we deliver you a uniquely cultivated “island in a box” to bring sunshine into your life, wherever you are in the world. Boxes feature unique themes, varying tropical destinations, and a connection to the fascinating women who call them home.

How does it work?
The Sunshine Society is a monthly recurring subscription box service for island-loving women. You subscribe and each month we send you your “island in a box” filled with tropical treats. Your Sunshine Society box subscription renews automatically on a monthly basis.

How much does it cost?
The Sunshine Society sends you a new “island in a box” once per month. The cost is $45 per month (an average retail value of $70+ in every box!).
What's inside the monthly Sunshine Society box?
Each month, you’ll receive 4 – 6 hand-selected island gifts (an average value of $70+ retail per package!). Each box is centered around a specific tropical theme, featuring an island and an interesting woman who calls it home. You’ll get a constantly evolving variety of beach life gifts, custom accessories by island artisans, and many more treats from the tropics.
How do I sign-up?
How does billing work?
We’re a monthly subscription which means, when you sign-up (unless you’re pre-paying a specific gift amount), you will be billed each month on the 18th, in advance of your next shipment. Shipments go out once a month, usually around the 4th or the 6th.
Orders will show on your My Account page as “Processing” until the shipment is complete, then you will receive an email that the order is “Complete” each month when your Sunshine Society Box ships. When you are billed each month for the following month’s box, you will receive an email letting you know your subscription has been renewed automatically for the month.
What is this month's deadline?
We generally ship around the 4th of the month.
The cut off for each month is at 11:59pm on the 29th of the prior month. Therefore, an order for a currently featured month can be placed from the 30th of one month through the 29th of the following to receive the upcoming delivery. For example:
To receive November’s Sunshine Society Box, orders must be placed between September 30th – October 29th. November’s Sunshine Society Box will then be mailed on November 4th.
October 30 – November 29 = December’s Sunshine Society Box
November 30 – December 29 = January’s Sunshine Society Box
December 30 – January 29 = February’s Sunshine Society Box

Where & how do you ship?
The Sunshine Society ships via USPS First Class Mail, which is delivered to all US states (including Alaska & Hawaii), territories, and APO addresses. APO addresses should allow up to 7 days additional delivery time. We also ship to the British Virgin Islands and Canada for the same low rates as that of the US. Canadian addresses should allow an additional 7-10 days delivery time.
We are pleased to offer all of our subscription box shipping to the above locations for a flat rate of $10 per package. Retail items from The Sunshine Shop must be shipped separately from the monthly Sunshine Society Box and all qualify for FREE shipping to the above addresses.
We also offer international shipping to select locations for an additional shipping fee.
If you don’t see your country listed, we’re sorry but international shipping is not available to that destination at this time.
How do I add a gift message?
If you’re giving The Sunshine Society Box as a gift, you may include a gift message at checkout. Simply type your message into the “Additional Information” note box (don’t forget to include who it’s for and who it’s from) and we’ll be sure to include your note on one of our signature Sunshine Society cards.
Do you take phone orders?
Sorry, but we do not offer phone support (coconut or otherwise) at this time. We’re a small team and email support helps us to respond as quickly as possible. Online ordering keeps your info secure. If you have questions, please drop us a line at email@example.com and we’ll get back to you ASAP.
How can I cancel my subscription?
While our sunny hearts will break just a little bit should you choose to leave us, you’re welcome to cancel your subscription at any time by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that cancellations made after your monthly renewal fee has been charged on the 18th are committed to the coming month’s box. You will then receive that as your last monthly box and will not be charged any more renewal fees.
Please also note that due to the discounted, prepaid nature of our 3, 6, and 12 month gift subscription packages, they are non-refundable. Customers wishing to discontinue receiving the remainder of their shipments are welcome to share the sunshine and transfer them to a fellow sunny soul without fee.
How do I receive a refund?
If you would like to receive a refund, you must request it prior to the 18th of the month (your monthly renewal date). Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for Sunshine Society boxes after the 18th each month. Cancellations received after the 18th of the month will receive the coming month’s box as your last shipment and you will not be charged for any further months.
